Who is waxing for?
Not on sunburnt or very sensitive skin. And not at all for anyone taking isotretinoin, or who has taken it in the last six months — waxing can lift the skin and scar it.

How should I prepare for waxing?
The hair needs to be roughly 6 to 19 mm long. Longer than that and it is worth trimming first: the wax grips better and it hurts less.
For facial waxing, stop retinol and prescription retinoids two to five days beforehand, or the wax can lift skin along with the hair.

What should I do after waxing?
A cold pack if it is sore. Avoid hot baths and hot showers, wear loose clothing, and use a moisturiser that will not block the pores.
