Laser or waxing?

The same eight areas, both ways, at the price the salon charges today.

Laser and waxing are priced far more closely per appointment than most people expect. At Frada Beauty Center in San Pedro del Pinatar, laser is cheaper than waxing on the bikini line and underarms, dearer on half legs, full legs and on a man’s chest or back, and the same on the upper lip and arms. The price is therefore not what separates them. What separates them is what happens afterwards: waxing is bought one visit at a time and repeats for as long as you want the result, while laser is bought as a course of sessions.

Both columns are read live from the salon’s booking system, so they are the prices being charged today. A dash means the salon does not list that area in that column.

What actually differs

Waxing lifts the hair out at the root. The result is immediate and it is complete on the day, and the hair returns, so the appointment repeats for as long as you want the skin to stay clear.

Laser is sold by the session rather than by the course because hair does not all grow at once — at any given moment only part of it is in the phase that responds, which is why a session is one step rather than the whole job.

That is the honest difference, and it is the one the price table cannot show you. How many sessions any particular area or person needs is a question for the salon, not for a website: it depends on the hair and the skin in front of the therapist, and no page that has not seen either should put a number on it.

What the numbers show

Read the table across rather than down. On the smaller areas the two are within a few euros of each other, and on the bikini line laser is the cheaper appointment outright. On the larger areas — half legs, full legs, a man’s chest or back — waxing is the cheaper single visit.

So if you are comparing on the price of one appointment, there is no general answer: it depends entirely on the area. If you are comparing on what you will spend over a year, that is a different sum, and it turns on how often you currently book waxing — which only you know.

How long you are in the chair

The table gives the appointment length for both, and it is worth reading. Laser appointments are consistently the shorter of the two on every area the salon lists both for, which for a lunch-hour appointment can matter more than the price does.

Common questions

Which one is cheaper?

Per appointment, it depends on the area, and the table above shows every one the salon prices both ways. Laser is cheaper on the bikini line and underarms; waxing is cheaper on half legs, full legs, chest and back. Over a year the comparison depends on how often you book, which is not something this page can know.

How many laser sessions will I need?

That is not a question a website should answer, and this one will not. It depends on the area, on your hair and on your skin, and the salon will tell you when they see it. Frada prices laser by the session so you are never buying a course sight unseen.

Do you do both at Frada?

Yes. Both laser and waxing are offered at the salon on Avenida Emilio Castelar in San Pedro del Pinatar, and every area is priced on the website for both — the laser prices and the waxing prices are published in full.

How long does an appointment take?

The table above gives the appointment length for every area in both columns, taken from the salon’s own diary. They range from ten minutes for an upper lip to well over an hour for full legs.
